The cedar, spice, and earthy smells emanate from the Nicaraguan binder and filler tobaccos that lie beneath the Ecuadorian Habano Sun Grown Oscuro wrapper, which has been carefully box-pressed to bring out the wrapper’s natural oils. Flavors of nuttiness, earth, traditional Pepn spice, and substantial wood come from the Flor de Las Antillas Maduro.
